Blast from the past-thoughts

(1988)

My mom uploaded some old pictures on facebook. And I was glad she did. Old pictures from home bring so many memories. I cannot believe I was that baby, their first born. How did I get so lucky?I mean really, my parents are the best. I love them both oh so much. I think both of them are just perfect partners, they are each others best friend. I love being at home with them.

And there is the picture of my Dad and my younger brothers. They are only one year apart like my me and my sister. And growing up we always have matching outfits especially on Sundays when go to church. Aren't they so cute? This was taken in the old house, where we all grew up. Oh gosh there's a million memories running in my head just by looking at this picture.

Sometimes I wish I could be a kid again. Not that I don't like my present life, being a wife and a mother. Oh I wouldn't trade this moment for anything in this world. But there were times like this when I kind of think of being kid again. Yah know you wake up, you play, you laugh. Those were the innocent days. The days when the world seems so small, and yet so perfect. Those times when I didn't care about the President of the country or current economic standing. Days when I didn't mind about my looks inspite of being sweaty from playing all day in the sun. The days I truly enjoyed sitting on the table with parents, grandma and siblings, while enjoying our meal together, talking stories about our days. The summer when my mom would make a homemade popsicle sticks, for me and my siblings to devour and enjoy.Oh it was a little piece of heaven. The afternoons when I would play dress up and wear my mom's high heels shoes and pretend to be a teacher or something and act like an adult.Oh I was hilarious. And then there were the holidays and festivals and summer fun with the cousins. I actually have a big extended my family. My Dad is the youngest of 10, one of his sister has 14 kids, and the rest of his siblings kids were 4,6,5,2....and so on. I couldn't even keep track. But you could imagine the fun that we have growing up,getting together and playing with our cousins. Our house was full,it was chaotic but it was way too much fun.

Can you find me in this picture?

I had a wonderful childhood, hands down. I was raised with such awesome and loving parents. I grew up with a wonderful Grandma.I have such crazy, unique, fun and great siblings.I truly love and admire them. They have grown to be such fine young woman and young men.

Oh what a life!don't you think this journey is such an awesome experience?I mean you get to build memories, and you get to choose what you're gonna do with it. There are people who are eternally bonded to you.I have been surrounded with such awesome people in this lifetime. And it feels so great.

Anyway my thoughts are rambling.I don't really know what this is about.I guess, I just simply want to say that the Lord has blessed me with great families, wonderful memories, exciting and rewarding present, and bright future. And for that matter, I am purely overjoyed.
