P.I trip!

We are back from our short trip to my beloved Philippines. A very much needed vacation. Darren got spoiled rotten, seriously. In total we have spent almost 34 hours on the plane not including the long lay overs. Darren did awesome on the 31 hours that we have spent on the plane. He only got restless and crazy the last two hours of our flight from HI TO LAS. How did I get so lucky? He is such a trooper.Maybe because he got so used to travelling so much.We have moved and traveled a lot in his almost 2 yrs of life. I tried giving him Benadryl when he woke up at 3am our first night. I really wanted him to be well rested because we have a long day ahead. Well the meds didn't work. They boy got super hyper active. Which is really not a big deal,I have to get ready for the wedding early anyway.

I figured that Darren doesn't really need remedy medicine for jetlag and sleep problem,he just good in adapting and coping,I guess. And I hope this baby girl will be just like her big brother. Our time in the Philippines was really short but before I left I said a prayer.I do believe in prayers.like a lot, whether it is a small kine.I asked that our time in the Philippines would feel like every minute counts and I asked for the hours to slow down a bit,so that my parents and family can enjoy Darren more. And I think the Lord did just that. He did answer my prayer. We really did not waste any time. We had a blast, there were tender moments, like when my sister got sealed and finally married. And up to the very last moment when we are bidding goodbye,it was still memorable. My mother cried she did not want to let go of Darren.Darren was asleep on her shoulder.I cried, too. It broke my heart.I know my Mother wanted to enjoy her first grandson more. How I wish she could come visit us,I hope that they could finally grant her a visa.

Anyway no more sad notes. Here are some of the pictures from our trip.

DAY 4:

Oh how I wish that my youngest brother was there. I cannot wait to have a picture of all of us siblings, just like the old times.

DAY 5:

This picture of Darren above kills me.He was so very happy to play with that little chick. I wish I could capture more pictures of him smiling like that.

I love the photos! Mukhang nag-enjoy tlaga si Darren. Your note about your mom made me cry. I really hope they can get a visa soon. They are good people and they deserve it.

I also have faith in the power of prayer. He always listens to us.. malaki man or maliit ang kailangan natin. I'm so thankful for that.

I'm glad you had fun in your short time sa PI.
